Abstract: Thermal output from two different strain gages types was analyzed over a temperature range from 20-500 Celsius degree. The influence of of applied loads was also examined. The strain gages were attached to the specimens in three different configurations. Thermal output was efficiently compensed for using a quarter-bridge configuration. Relative large errors were found using half-bridge configurations. The obtained thermal output values, with and without application of load are discussed.
